Description
It is thought that the Institute's tradition of serving tea each weekday began with Elizabeth Veblen, an Englishwoman who was the wife of School of Mathematics Faculty member Oswald Veblen. This small sheet lists the items she procured for use with tea service in Fine Hall, which was the building on the Princeton University campus where the Institute's School of Mathematics was based prior to the construction on Fuld Hall in 1939.
