Description
A group of Institute parents established a nursery school called Crossroads onsite in 1947. In this memo from its early days, Institute Director J. Robert Oppenheimer's assistant, Bernetta Miller, argues for its value to the Institute's resident scholars. The school was moved to a house on campus, and continued to operate.
