Red stylized animal figurine

Red carved figurine (possibly ceramic) of a stylized seated animal that appears to be a dog with the right paw covering the nose and a long tail curled along the back legs. There is carving of foliage along the back with four holes forming a rectangle. Cross hatching covers the bottom of base. There are no signatures or inscriptions visible.
