Description
Bronze plaque of Louis Bamberger. Signed JF [John Flanagan]. 1925. Installed 1941. Copy of a plague in the Newark Museum. Flanagan was born in Newark, NJ, studied at the Cooper Union and became an assistant in the New York studio of Saint-Gauden. He moved to Paris to continue his work and is well known for his portraits in relief and medals. He designed the silver twenty-five cent piece in 1932.
