Description
Right profile portrait sketch of Albert Einstein dated and signed in ink in lower left corner by the artist, Josef Scharl. In pencil in the lower right, the artist added: "Princeton, Nov. 29, 1951." In another sketch (AA2010.0404) of Einstein by Scharl in the collection, Scharl embedded Einstein's famous equation, E=mc2, into Einstein's eyebrows. Though less obvious here and in the left profile (EB 220) in the collection, the famous equation and perhaps other symbols or letters appear to be embedded in Einstein's eyebrows and mustache.
