Edward Witten (r.) and Christopher Beasley in one of a series of images taken for an article published in the January 2003 issue of M, the now defunct monthly magazine of the Dutch evening newspaper, NRC Handelsblad. The article is about string theorists - mostly those at the Institute for Advanced Study (School of Natural Sciences Faculty members Juan Maldacena, Nathan Seiberg, and Edward Witten) and Princeton University. Witten was Beasley's doctoral thesis adviser while Beasley studied for his degree from Princeton University.
