On March 24, 2001, the second of a two-day Biennial Conference of AMIAS (Association of Members of the Institute for Advanced Study), four public lectures were presented by (l. to r.): Patricia Crone, Eric Maskin, Martin A. Nowak, and Nathan Seiberg seen here in Marilyn and James Simons Hall on the Institute campus. The speakers include Faculty members Crone, Maskin, and Seiberg of the Institute, and represent, respectively, the Schools of Historical Studies, Social Science, and Natural Sciences. Nowak was a Member and Head of the School of Natural Sciences's Program in Theoretical Biology (named in 2005 the Simons Center for Systems Biology).
