Those pictured are (l. to r.): Martin Nowak, IAS Director Phillip Griffiths, event moderator Marina von Neumann Whitman, Eric Maskin, an unidentified man, and Avi Wigderson. Panelists Nowak, Maskin, and Wigderson are Faculty members, respectively, of the Schools of Natural Sciences, Social Science, and Mathematics. Whitman, an IAS Trustee, is the daughter of John von Neumann, who was among the earliest Faculty appointments to the Institute and a seminal figure in game theory.
