Conference co-organizer and Institute Trustee Martin Leibowitz (Vice Chairman and Chief Investment Officer, TIAA-CREF) is the speaker during lunch at the "Mathematics and Finance" conference held at the Institute for Advanced Study. Leibowitz presented an account of his early days in the financial industry, when at Salomon Brothers in 1969 he was the first house mathematician in a United States bond brokerage.
