Description
In 1940, the Institute for Advanced Study extended an offer to house the League of Nations Economic and Financial Section during wartime. The League of Nations accepted, and the section was was moved from Geneva to the Institute, where it remained until 1945. Institute Director Frank Aydelotte was deeply involved with the group. This ile contains Aydelotte's summer 1940 correspondence regarding the planning and execution of the move.
