Albert Einstein Faculty file: Institute publication of Einstein's scientific writings

This portion of the Faculty file contains correspondence and other materials regarding Albert Einstein's published scientific papers, which, in the years immediately after Einstein's death in 1955, the Institute for Advanced Study sought to have published as a collection. This file mostly pertains to requests for republication permission from the Institute to those holding rights to the published works. Some folders in the Director's Office Faculty files series include a processing note with the heading "Items Removed." These removed items are now located in the offprint collection of the Institute's Historical Studies-Social Science Library.
