Description
This portion of the Faculty file contains chronological correspondence and other documentation related to Albert Einstein, who died in 1955 (April 18) -- the year of the materials in this folder, which covers a wide variety of topics and correspondents. Most often these inquries were sent to the attention of the Institute's Director, who was then J. Robert Oppenheimer. Some folders in the Director's Office Faculty files series include a processing note with the heading "Items Removed." These removed items are now located in the offprint collection of the Institute's Historical Studies-Social Science Library.
