Albert Einstein Faculty file: correspondence, 1945-1954

This portion of the Faculty file contains chronological correspondence and other documentation on a wide variety of matters related to Albert Einstein. The majority of the inquries in this folder are addressed to the Institute's Office of the Director on issues such as scheduling appointments with Professor Einstein and requesting published material by him. The folder also includes correspondence sent directly to Professor Einstein, including a series of letters asking his opinion on the threat of communism to the security of the United States. Some folders in the Director's Office Faculty files series include a processing note with the heading "Items Removed." These removed items are now located in the offprint collection of the Institute's Historical Studies-Social Science Library.
