Albert Einstein Faculty file: requests for photographs

The correspondence and other documents in this folder reflect the interest in Albert Einstein as both a public figure and for his scholarship. The inquiries in this case are primarily for photographs of Professor Einstein, and they date from before and after his death in 1955. The correspondents run the gamut including school children. Some folders in the Director's Office Faculty files series include a processing note with the heading "Items Removed." These removed items are now located in the offprint collection of the Institute's Historical Studies-Social Science Library.
