Though Albert Einstein died in 1955, this folder of chronological correspondence and other documentation represents the wide variety of inquiries that continued to come to the Institute's Office of the Director seeking information about Einstein's work, requesting photographs of him, and a host of other matters. The correspondents run the gamut including school children. Some folders in the Director's Office Faculty files series include a processing note with the heading "Items Removed." These removed items are now located in the offprint collection of the Institute's Historical Studies-Social Science Library.
