Description
This formal portrait of author George Bernard Shaw is printed directly onto heavyweight paper, and the photographer's signature in the lower right corner also appears to be reproduction. The back of the print is stamped: "Copyright by Karsh... Ottawa, Canada." Though undated, this image was featured on the cover of the February 7, 1944, issue of Life magazine. George Bernard Shaw and Albert Einstein first met in 1921. Shaw spoke at a dinner honoring Einstein held in London in 1930.
