This is a portion of the Faculty file containing correspondence and other documents relating to "The Theory of Relativity in Contemporary Science" symposium marking Albert Einstein's 70th birthday, which was on March 14 with the symposium taking place on the 19th. Among the speakers at the symposium were IAS Director J. Robert Oppenheimer, Howard P. Robertson, Gerald M. Clemence, and IAS Faculty member Hermann Weyl. Some folders in the Director's Office Faculty files series include a processing note with the heading "Items Removed." These removed items are now located in the offprint collection of the Institute's Historical Studies-Social Science Library.
