The James R. Blackwood consists chiefly of correspondence in English and German dating from 1934-1936. These materials are the result of the personal relationship between Andrew W. Blackwood and his wife, Carolyn P. Blackwood, and Albert Einstein and his second wife, Elsa, and were received by the Blackwoods from the Einsteins.
