Description
Wooden mask with attached light brown hair on forehead, upper lip and chin; mouth is open showing carved teeth; long, narrow face with carvings on each side of head to suggest ears; five small holes in row across top (above forehead); string attached above ears as hanging device; statement from Didier Fassin: "...very probable that they all come from the same region and maybe even the same Magar group..although it is not sure. It is likely that they are about 100 years old and were used for shamanistic practices."
