Abī Ṭālib (d. 40 AH/661 CE), Nahj al-balāgha, also composed a comprehensive, and largely unprecedented book on the metaphors in the Qurʾān, Talkhīṣ al-bayān ʿan majāzāt al-Qurʾān.
