In the years immediately after Einstein's death in 1955, the Institute for Advanced Study sought to have published a collection of Einstein's published scientific works. The literary estate of Albert Einstein, in the meantime, made plans to publish everything else. The contents of this file reflect how long it took for any of this to begin to be realized. Some folders in the Director's Office Faculty files series include a processing note with the heading "Items Removed."
