The correspondence reflects both the personal and professional nature of the relationship between the two men, and includes material addressing Institute administrative matters. There are a few letters to Abraham Flexner from his brother, Simon. Some folders in the Director's Office Faculty files series include a processing note with the heading "Items Removed." These removed items are now located in the offprint collection of the Institute's Historical Studies-Social Science Library. This document is protected by copyright and/or related rights.
