The United Service for New Americans, an agency of the United Jewish Appeal (UJA), brought the children to the United States. William Rosenwald, National Chairman of the UJA accompanied the children, which included a distant cousin of Einstein's, Elizabeth Kerzek. The cousins had not met before. Newspaper accounts of the occasion feature different images from the visit and credit the photographs to various sources, most often news agencies.
