The back of the photograph is inscribed to Einstein by Lee and dated May 6, 1921, which is during Lee's tenure (1910-1926) as instructor, assistant astronomer and lecturer at Yerkes Observatory, Williams Bay, Wisconsin. The series of images, which were taken on October 8, 1920, are numbered 1-7 and include additional details about the photographs: "1. 9:30 a.m. 60,000 km light" and "7. 2:00 p.m. 500,000 km light" and "Last stages at 2:30 pm 831,000 km."B&WThis item is protected by copyright and/or related rights.
