The print is inscribed in Norwegian on the back in blue ink, most likely by Selberg, and translates: "The main building and one of the "side" buildings (it is four in all). Seen from the back. My office is in the "side" building." At this time, the "side" building seen on the right was called "C" building. For many years, beginning in the late 1940s (his earliest visits to the Institute), Selberg's office was room C203.
