dc.provenance Desk owned by J. Robert Oppenheimer. Donated by Sybille Sorrentino and Thomas J. Kelley who were given the desk by Eleanor Gibney in 1998, the daughter of Nancy and Robert Gibney . The Gibneys sold the land at Hawksnest Bay, St. John, U.S.. Virgin Islands to the Oppenheimers in the 1950s.
