Chronological print materials produced by Events Staff 2017

Related Archival Materials note

The 2017-2018 academic year was the first time that Events staff preferred to wait until the end of the year to transfer to the Archives print items produced by Events. This change necessitated a processing change from previous years, which filed materials by topic (e.g., Midwinter Party) or type (e.g., cards).

Scope and Contents note

As a result of administrative reorganization, IAS staff specifically dedicated to Events became a division of the Director's Office. That staff is responsible for the production of certain print pieces, but not all. The items in this series cover a full-range of Institute activities (e.g., lectures, parties, film series, special events) for the entire community as well as for targeted subgroups (e.g., Friends, staff, AMIAS).

Thursday Luncheon Seminar: Participating Members' Interests. (Title elements have also included: 1. Participating Scholars' Interests, and 2. Participants.)

Scope and Contents note

Though the title of this pamphlet produced by the School changes over the years, the content is consistent. The calendar for the Thursday Luncheon Seminar series is on the first page followed by names in alphabetical order of all those affiliated with the School for the coming year, including those who will be presenters for the series. Each scholar's name also lists home institution (if a visiting scholar), field of study, and a summary of the work intended in the coming year. The 2003-2004 pamphlet was the first to include a photograph of each person. The 2017-2018 pamphlet was the first to also include pictures of IAS staff most essential for these scholars, especially those visiting, to recognize.
